The Arkansas State Hospice and Palliative Care Association is comprised of six committees that are vital to the success of this state organization. In order for the following committees to be successful, it is imperative that we have your support. We would like for you to please take the time to read the following nformation about our committees.
Membership Committee
Goal: Develop membership by strengthening member benefits.
APCEL Committee (End of Life)
Goal: To provide education on care at the end of life to hospices, nursing facilities and other end of life care stakeholders.
Education Committee
Goal: Plan, coordinate, and implement educational opportunities for the Spring and Fall Conferences based on the current educational needs of the general consensus of the Hospces around the state.
Public Policy Committee
Goal:To monitor legislative activities and administrative policies; to support the development of legislation and policies which seek to improve care of dying patients and support of their families; and to oppose legislation and administrative policies which will have an adverse impact on the lves of dying patients and their families.
Nominating Committee
Goal: Develop a slate of qualified candidates for officers and at large members of the Board of Directors.
Volunteer Recognition Committee
Goal: Plan and Coordinate recognition and public awareness events throughout the state.
